With a deep understanding of state governments, she excels in advising corporations on effective legislative strategies. Ms. Martinez specializes in guiding executive decisions, prioritizing political action plans, and positioning businesses for long-term value creation.Her extensive network spans government officials across 13 western states, including governors, attorneys general, legislators, and regulators. Currently serving as the CEO and Founder of Martinez Consulting based in Sacramento, CA. Ms. Martinez provides comprehensive legislative and regulatory affairs management for clients. She has a particular focus on the impact of policy proposals and ballot initiatives related to climate change, transportation infrastructure, telematics, insurance, energy, and corporate governance in California.In her previous role for a Fortune 100 company, Ms. Martinez covered thirteen states, including California, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and Utah. She played a pivotal role in shaping her employer's long-term strategy in the western region, with a specific emphasis on advancing electric vehicle (EV) technology including supply chain, energy and environmental justice. Engaging with governors, legislatures, and local officials, she supported infrastructure development and legislation to benefit consumers as EV manufacturing capabilities advanced.Beyond her contributions to the EV sector, Ms. Martinez led strategic responses to policymaker-driven debates on corporate governance, data security, and emissions control. She excelled in building coalitions in both industry and public forums.Ms. Martinez has also served as a senior public policy counsel for eBay, focusing on central US states such as Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, and Texas. In this role, she established crucial relationships and dialogues between eBay leadership and state officials.From 2009 to 2014, Ms. Martinez was a principal at Smith, Watts & Martinez, where she served as a registered lobbyist for corporate clients and trade associations in the electricity, natural resources, energy, and transportation sectors in California. Notably, she led the firm's response plan for clients affected by "AB 32" – the California Global Warming Solutions Act.Ms. Martinez initiated her career as a public policy analyst at Ogilvy, a national public relations firm, and gained experience in public affairs while clerking for the law firm Neil, Dymott, Frank, McFall & Trexler. This academic background equips her with deep expertise in workplace dynamics, organizational development, and efficiency—skills she applies daily to manage the complex organizational and scheduling needs of a lobbying firm.Professional Background Before joining Martinez Consulting, Ms. Terrado built a diverse career across multiple industries, including financial services at Optima Tax Relief, industrial distribution at Reliance, Inc., and retail management at The Hair Shop, Inc.
