Juanita brings a distinguished career spanning over 20 years in the California State Capitol. Her foundation was set early: after graduating from Scripps College, she was selected as a prestigious California Assembly Fellow—one of the most competitive programs in the Legislature—and was even chosen as the top-ranked choice by a powerful Assemblymember. This early role gave her an unmatched network and deep understanding of how Sacramento works. She further solidified her knowledge by earning a law degree (Juris Doctorate) from UC Davis.

Before establishing her own firm, Juanita served as a Principal at a major government relations firm (Smith, Watts & Martinez) and as a key policy director for Fortune 500 companies like General Motors (GM) and eBay. For GM, she managed policy and regulatory issues across 13 states. Through these critical roles, she has helped major clients like California Steel and Transportation California solve complex regulatory issues that mitigated over $300 million in cumulative financial risk.
